LA MARQUE — Police arrested four men in connection with the seizure of marijuana and prescription medication, authorities said Wednesday.

Cornell Porter, 38, was charged with possession of marijuana with a bond set at $75,000. Kevin Campbell, 41, was charged with manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

His bond was set at $50,000.

Bond was denied on a parole warrant for Sylvester Thompson, 23, and a man was arrested on a misdemeanor marijuana charge.

The arrests came from the Tuesday search by police from Friendswood and La Marque of a residence in the 3000 block of Cedar Drive.

Police seized about 3 pounds of marijuana and 128 grams of prescription pills and a firearm, La Marque police Sgt. Chad Waggoner said.

Narcked??? LOL Althos it does pay well if you can do it and get out of town fast enough. Could be the "narck" was speeding in Friendswood - that's where they get most of thier information if my memory serves me correctly.....

LMPD - fine job!!

Wow...if FPD got info about these guys from a traffic stop that is awesome! Wonder what's up with the county....thought they had a female investigator who specializes in narcotics. Oh well, glad these guys got busted.

I like the Spanish word for narcotics trafficker - narcotraficante. Sounds like a sophisticated and lucrative business.
