KEMAH — The driver of a truck heading north on state Highway 146 in Kemah was taken to the hospital after crashing the vehicle into several parked cars in a parking lot.

The accident happened early Sunday afternoon when the driver lost control of the truck and rolled over the embankment.

The truck then struck five cars in the parking lot of T-Bone Tom’s, a popular Kemah restaurant in the 700 block of state Highway 146.

Police said the driver was taken to the hospital via ambulance with possible injuries. No one else was injured, police said.

Traffic northbound on state Highway 146 was closed briefly while police investigated the accident.
