LEAGUE CITY — City Council members are scheduled to huddle in June to take a close look at the city’s charter.

The June 5 meeting is in anticipation that some revisions to the charter would be on the November ballot. The meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The charter was last revised in 2012.

It was in 2010 that the charter was also amended after voters approved changing the city’s form of government to a council-city manager form of government after years with the mayor as the top executive with shared duties with a city administrator.

Any proposed changes to the charter would come during the City Council election in the fall.

The mayor and council Positions 1, 2, 6 and 7 will be on the ballot.

Mr. Aulds,

You should get your facts straight. League City adopted the council-manager form of government in 2010, not 2012.

Actually it was a typo that I didn't catch. Yes 2010. Thanks chuck. I rushed that one the other night.
