SAN LEON — A man was flown to the University of Texas Medical Branch early Sunday morning after he was stabbed during an argument in San Leon.

The Galveston Sheriff’s Office responded to a call on the 500 block of 11th Street just after 6 a.m. Sunday. When deputies arrived, they found a 28-year-old Hispanic man suffering from four stab wounds, spokesman for the sheriff’s office said.

Though the stab wounds were not believed to be life-threatening, the man was taken by helicopter ambulance to the medical branch.

Deputies determined the victim was arguing with an acquaintance before he was injured.

The spokesman said deputies believed the men had been arguing about money, but had no further details.

No arrests have been made and the incident is still under investigation.
