LEAGUE CITY — A man faces various charges after police serving an arrest warrant at his League City apartment allegedly found drugs, a handgun and printers used to produce counterfeit cash.

Jonathan Allen Garcia, 32, was arrested Thursday at the Havanna Apartments, 2800 East League City Parkway, by League City police officers and a deputy from Constable Jerry Fisher’s Office, according to a news release from the police department.

Garcia had an outstanding Harris County warrant on a charge of sexual assault of a child, according to the release.

A stun gun was used to subdue Garcia after he fought with the officers at the apartment, police said. Officers recovered drugs and a pistol from the residence, according to the news release.

Garcia was charged with six counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of unlawful possession of a firearm, and transported to the Harris County Jail. Additional charges are pending, police said.
