LEAGUE CITY — A motorcyclists and two police officers suffered minor injuries Wednesday in a wreck involving three police cars.

The accident happened at 9:57 a.m. on the Interstate 45 frontage road at FM 646, as the officers responded to a burglary-in-progress call, said Kristi Wyatt, a spokeswoman for the city of League City.

The motorcyclist and two officers went to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster for treatment, Wyatt said.

The officers responded to a call believed to be from a resident who arrived home and saw someone leaving the house.

As police were en route, the motorcyclist pulled in front of the leading officer, who was unable to stop in time. Two trailing officers clipped one another as they tried to avoid the collision, Wyatt said.

A trooper with the Department of Public Safety investigated the wreck. No charges were filed.
