The GCDN did an oustanding job yesterday hosting their "Profile's" reception yesterday and it was obvious that there was a lot of hard work and energy spent by their staff in order to make it a success!

It was so neat to see all of the local students from our area with such high ambitions being recognized by the paper and their peers for their accomplishments, as well as, seeing all of the volunteers throughout Galveston County for their committment to making their community a better place to live.

Certainly the GCDN was spot on by naming Mr. George Mitchell their Citizen of the Year, a man who certainly made a difference in what Galveston is today, not only for himself and his family, but also for others living on the island, as well as, for all of the tourist and travelers to enjoy.

Last, but certainly not least, Mr. Leonard Woolsey made for an excellent emcee!

Good job everybody, we can't wait to see the Profile edition magazine in the paper on Saturday! [thumbup]
