LEAGUE CITY — Police are asking for public assistance to help identify a woman suspected of taking the wallet of an elderly shopper at a League City store before using a stolen credit card to purchase several items.

An 82-year-old woman told officers her wallet went missing while she was shopping at Walmart, 1701 W. FM 646, according to a news release from the League City Police Department.

A credit card in the wallet was used by another woman shopping at the store, according to the news release.

Police on Monday released a video surveillance image of the woman suspected of taking the wallet.
