A man was killed Friday night in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 19th Avenue North and Ninth Street in Texas City, police said.

Texas City police responded to a report of a crash involving a motorcycle about 6:50 p.m. Friday, officials said.

The driver of a truck was found with minor injuries and was transported to the University of Texas Medical Branch for treatment, police said.

The man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The truck was driving north on Ninth Street when it stopped at a four-way stop sign before continuing on, police said.

As the truck went through the intersection, the motorcycle came through without stopping at more than 60 mph and hit the truck, police said.

The man driving the motorcycle hit the truck and pavement before coming to a stop, police said.

Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, officials said.
