Texas City police Friday arrested a man in connection to a bomb threat made at a district childhood center Jan. 25.

Anthony Dewayne Alexander, 31, of Texas City was arrested in connection to the incident, said Cpl. Melencio Villarreal, spokesman for the department. He is charged with false alarm or report and his bond is set at $60,000, Villarreal said.

A man called 911 to report a bomb threat Jan. 25 at Calvin Vincent Early Childhood Center in Texas City, Villarreal said.

Police arrested Alexander on Friday after tracing the source of the call to a residence and later connected that to Alexander, Villarreal said.
