A man died early Wednesday morning after a shooting near FM 1765 and Lake Road in La Marque.
Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to calls about gunshots near FM 1765 and Lake Road and a car wrecked in a parking lot of a school on the 100 block of Lake Road. Police arrived to the school to find an injured man inside a convenience store on the 2400 block FM 1765, across the street from the school.
The man suffered gun shot wounds to his arms and torso, police said.
He was airlifted to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead just after midnight, police said.
Police said they suspect the shooting started at another place and involved three people.
At least one man was shot in his car, police said. The injured man fled west from the shooting site before wrecking in the school parking lot, police said. The man got out of his car and went into the convenience before collapsing, police said.
Another person apparently drove south on Lake Road after the shooting, police said.
Police have not identified the man killed nor have they released details about the identity or description of the other people involved.
