A Friendswood man was sentenced Friday to two years community supervision for assaulting several partygoers in 2016.

In an agreement with prosecutors, Nicholas Ryan May, 21, pleaded guilty to one count of assault causing bodily injuries after initially being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, court records show.

Witnesses told Friendswood police May was attending a party in January 2016 when he accused several attendees of taking his Xanax tablets, according to a probable cause affidavit.

May then began hitting two people, according to the affidavit.

May picked up scissors and started chasing a victim before the resident of the home locked him out, according to the affidavit.

May then broke a backyard window to try to force his way into the home, according to the affidavit.
