Friendswood police Wednesday were investigating a theft at a local bank.

Police were called after a restaurant manager deposited a check and received cash at a bank and then drove across the street to a Chase Bank in the 200 block of West Parkwood Avenue, officials said.

While the manager was making a personal transaction at the bank’s drive-through ATM, a white car stopped at the curb separating a gas station from the bank, police said.

The passenger of the white car got out and opened the bank manager’s unlocked side door and grabbed two bank bags and her purse and got back into his car and drove away, police said.

A witness said both suspects were males, one wearing a grey hoodie and the other wearing a multi-colored hoodie, police said.

Friendswood police are asking anyone with information to call 281-996-3300.
