Texas City police arrested a 66-year-old man Saturday night after a chase starting on Texas Avenue in Texas City and ending in Bacliff.

Police arrested David Alexander Beaton of Texas City around 8:45 p.m., authorities said.

Bond for Beaton was set at $50,000 on a charge of evading arrest with a vehicle, police said. No one was injured, authorities said.

The chase started in the 3400 block of Texas Avenue in Texas City during an attempted traffic stop, police said.

The chase ended in the 4800 block of 11th Street in Bacliff, authorities said.
