A movie set in and named after Galveston will premiere at the South By Southwest Film Festival in Austin in March.

Festival organizers announced additions to the slate of the 132-film festival on Wednesday. The announcement included the planned world premiere of the independent film "Galveston," which stars Elle Fanning and Beau Bridges.

The movie is about a hitman who rescues a young prostitute and flees with her to Galveston. It's based on a book by "True Detective" writer Nic Pizzolatto.

While the book and movie are set on Galveston Island in the days before Hurricane Ike, the movie was filmed on the Georgia coast in 2016.
