Police were searching Monday for a man who shot a 44-year-old man in the chest Monday morning at the Magnolia Bend Apartments in Texas City, police said.

About 10:45 a.m. Monday, Texas City police were called to the apartments at 2902 Texas Avenue after a shooting at the complex.

Police found a 44-year-old man breathing and semiconscious with a gun shot wound to his chest, authorities said.
