Sporadic rain did not stop the annual Krewe d’Esprit Rosaire parade Saturday. Bands and drill teams from the Galveston-Houston area filled the streets with music and dance, while various floats and krewes showed off their twist on Mardi Gras. The Krewe d’Esprit Rosaire is the only Black Catholic Krewe on the island and this particular parade is very family friendly. Nonnisha Burns led the parade on a Ford Mustang as the Queen of Krewe d'Esprit Rosaire.
