Communities In Schools-Bay Area received a $10,000 grant from the Albert and Ethel Herzstein Foundation to help support services for students and families affected by Hurricane Harvey.

The group provides dropout prevention programs for children identified as at-risk or economically disadvantaged in the Dickinson and Clear Creek independent school districts.

The Albert and Ethel Herzstein Charitable Foundation has supported more than 1,000 organizations since it was founded in 1965.
