The 37th annual ABC-13 "Share Your Holidays" food drive will be from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday in the parking lot at Ball High School, 4115 Ave. O, in Galveston.

Nonperishable food items and monetary donations will be accepted. All proceeds will go to the Galveston County Food Bank.

There also will be live entertainment from a variety of Galveston Independent School District activity groups, as well as an on-air personality from ABC-13. In addition, BHS Media Arts students will be filming the event and conducting on-air radio interviews.

Also, for the first time ever, FeedGalveston, a community-outreach program initiated by First Lutheran Church, will have an assembly line of Ball High students and volunteers packaging nourishing foods into individual packets. The goal of this group (who will be packaging food on campus at Ball High in conjunction with the "Share Your Holidays" activities) is to package 50,000 quality meals — all of which will be tallied with the other contributions brought in to Ball High.
