This is truly excellent news. A game-changer for Galveston county residents. [thumbup]

I couldn't be happier. Costco is a tremendous improvement over Sam's Club. I live on Galveston Island and this makes the trip definitely doable.

Great news! This is a true "destination shopping" draw! My experience with the Costco corporate real estate department has been very positive - they are accommodating to the residents of the areas where they choose to locate their stores. They do their best to be good corporate neighbors.

We need one down here in Texas City. I am tired of Walmart making all the rules here. We need more options that just walmart.

Hopefully they will use a lot of Galveston County businesses to build the store. Using local businesses is a real boost to the local economy.

Costco also pays fairly well and offers benefits to their employees. I believe their starting wage is 15 or 16 dollars an hour. Have shopped the one in Pearland and it has always been a good experience.
