Creatorspace, a nonprofit organization that helps individuals build technological gadgets, is leasing part of the blue building at 144 Park Ave. from League City for $800 a month.

City council approved a one-year lease with Creatorspace at its March 28 meeting after discussing the terms during an executive session.

Creatorspace is moving from its site in Webster to a 4,500-square-foot space inside the blue building. The League City site will offer the creators more than three times the space they had in Webster.

The group will have open workshops for curious residents and others interested in learning how to use new technology, member Bryan Murphy said.
