A Texas City man was arrested Thursday night on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated robbery after an attempted robbery at Ace Cash Express, 5204 FM 1765, police said. 

Texas City police received a 911 call at about 8:30 p.m. of a robbery in progress at Ace Cash Express, police said. Officers saw a man running across the parking lot to his vehicle as they arrived, police said. 

The man led officers on a short car chase before jumping out of the moving automobile and fleeing on foot, police said. Officers gave chase and apprehended the man in a field behind Bay Area Funeral Home, police said. No one was injured during the robbery, police said. 

Myles Booker, 27, is being held at the Texas City jail, police said. His bond has been set at $50,000, police said.
