The 15th annual Houston Area Community College Student Exhibition will be on display Thursday through Dec. 15 at the art gallery at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, 2700 Bay Area Blvd.

The gallery will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; and 9 a.m. to noon Fridays. Free parking will be available in the Visitor Lot or Student Lot D.

There also will be an opening reception from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today with an awards presentation at 6 p.m.

The La Marque High School Class of 2018 will host a spirit night fundraiser from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at McDonald’s, 2300 Interstate 45 N.

Twenty percent of proceeds during that time frame will be given to the class.

The Clear Falls High School Theatre Dept. will present “Peter Pan and Wendy” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday; and at 2 p.m. Saturday in the school’s auditorium, 4380 Village Way.

Local veterans and the public are invited to attend Santa Fe High School’s annual Veterans Day ceremony at 9 a.m. Friday at 16000 state Highway 6.

The ceremony will include participation by the United States Armed Forces and Coast Guard. Students who have already enlisted and have completed basic training will be recognized, as well as, recognition of all district employee veterans. Current and former servicemen, women and veterans in the Santa Fe area also will be recognized.

The Clear Creek High School student body will have its “Creek Can” food drive at 7 p.m. Friday at the Clear Creek Independent School District Veterans Memorial Stadium, 2305 E. Main St.
