The Galveston Island Humane Society pets of the week are Eureka and Nixon.

Eureka is a cute 5-month-old female black and tan tabby kitten with golden eyes and petite ears. She is a quiet cat who doesn’t demand too much attention from you. She is curious and likes to smell and inspect her surroundings. She is still pretty small and when she sleeps she curls up into a tiny little adorable fluff ball. Come spend some time with Eureka in one of our meet and greet rooms today!

Meet Nixon! This sweet 2-year-old shepherd mix has a gorgeous red coat and gold eyes. Even though he’s young, he has an “old-soul,” is quiet and doesn’t demand too much attention. All he wants is a family who will love him unconditionally. This sweet boy would be the perfect addition to any family and can’t wait to find his forever home. Stop by to meet him today!

Join us for the annual Evia Spring Market from noon to 5 p.m. April 1. There will be tasty treats, live music, shopping and some of our very own shelter animals available for adoption! Adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, current vaccinations and a month of pet insurance. These featured pets have an adoption sponsor allowing the adoption fee of $25 for this week only!
