The Galveston Island Humane Society pets of the week are Trinity and Swiper.

Trinity is a gorgeous 3-month-old female kitten with calico colors and tabby stripes. She is a frisky little girl who loves playtime with her other littermates. She also likes to play with feathers, strings, and toy mice. Once she has played her heart out she loves to cuddle up and take a nice long nap. Stop by to meet this sweetheart.

Swiper is a happy, high-energy male Havanese-mix. He is 1 year old — but still acts like a puppy. He is very excited about life and knows no stranger. Swiper would fit into most homes wonderfully. He has a long, soft cream colored coat which will require regular grooming. His sparkling eyes and million dollar smile is guaranteed to brighten your day. Come meet Swiper.

Due to Hurricane Harvey, the date for the Galveston Island Humane Society’s annual Paws Gala: “20,000 Paws Under the Sea” has been rescheduled for Nov. 18. There is still plenty of time to purchase tickets, check out sponsorship opportunities and get a sneak peek at auction items on the webpage www.pawsunderthesea.com.

Come by the shelter or check the website to view and visit our family. All adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, current vaccinations and a month of pet insurance. These featured pets have an adoption sponsor allowing the adoption fee of $25 for this week only.
