The Galveston Island Humane Society pets of the week are Mina and Pippa.

Mina is a 1-year-old female cat with brown and black tabby stripes, and lovely tan highlights on her face. She is a very sweet cat that loves playing with feather toys, strings and toy mice. She gets along well with other cats and would be a great addition to almost any home. She is the “purrfect” balance between sweet and playful. Mina is available to go home today, so stop by the shelter to meet her.

Pippa is an adorable pup and is a real gem. She is sweet, loving, playful and did we mention adorable? Well, she’s adorable. Pippa is a 3-year-old Chihuahua with a short, tan coat, and a smile that will brighten your day. Stop by for a visit; she’ll steal your heart.

It’s time to take a break and have a night out for a cause. The Galveston Island Humane Society’s Annual Paws Gala: “20,000 Paws Under the Sea” was rescheduled for Nov. 18. There is still time to purchase tickets, check out sponsorship opportunities and get a sneak peek at auction items on the webpage www.pawsunderthesea.com.

Come by the shelter or check the website to view and visit our family. All adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, current vaccinations and a month of pet insurance. These featured pets have an adoption sponsor allowing the adoption fee of $25 for this week only.
