This week’s Galveston County Animal Resource Center pets of the week are Ruth Ann and Betty.

Ruth Ann (A002338) is a domestic short hair brown tabby. “Brown tabby” doesn’t do this lovely girl justice. Her coat is rich and shaded, her eyes big and green and the camera loves her. A “tipped” left ear lends a bit of character to her appearance. Ruth Ann gets along with other well-mannered kitties. She is about two and half years young, spayed and combo tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Betty (A007225) is a brindle and white mix breed and is as sweet as she can be. She is looking for a new forever home. She is estimated to be around 1 year old.

Videos of the pets of the week can be viewed on www.facebook.com/garcpets and www.youtube.com.

Ruth Ann and Betty are available for adoption Tuesday through Saturday at the special rate of $42.50. Pet of the week adoptions include rabies vaccination, spay or neuter and microchip. For information, call 409-948-2485 or visit www.arcpets.org. These and other pets are available at the Galveston County Animal Resource Center, 3412 25th Ave. N., in Texas City.
