This week’s Galveston County Animal Resource Center pets of the week are Matata and Tannen.

Matata (A010907) is a domestic short hair with a rich brown tabby coat. Matata is a friendly young adult who likes attention and petting. Why the serious look on his handsome face? Interviewing for adoption and finding the perfect family is serious business for a kitty. Come get acquainted with Matata and see if he is the kitty you have been waiting for.

Tannen (A020967) is a young energetic male who’s sure to steal your heart. Tannen is a social butterfly and loves other animals just as much as he loves spending time with people. This handsome boy enjoys everything from romping around the play yard to spending some one on one time cuddling.

Videos of the pets of the week can be viewed on www.facebook.com/garcpets and www.youtube.com.

Matata and Tannen are available for adoption Tuesday through Saturday at the special rate of $42.50. Pet of the week adoptions include rabies vaccination, spay or neuter and microchip. For more information, call 409-948-2485 or visit www.arcpets.org. These and other pets are available at the Galveston County Animal Resource Center, 3412 25th Ave. N., in Texas City.
