This week’s Galveston County Animal Resource Center pets of the week are Lorcan and Pita.

Lorcan (A010651) is a domestic shorthair orange tabby. He has grown from a scrawny kitten into a handsome teenager of about 9 months old. He is a friendly guy and likes attention. From his bright eyes to his pale nose to the stripes on his tail, Lorcan is a great kitty.

Pita (A011292) is a 7-year-old spayed female Dutch shepherd mix with a heart full of love. She is looking for a family to share it with. She deserves a second chance at life and knows she can make you happy.

Videos of the pets of the week can be viewed on www.facebook.com/garcpets and www.youtube.com.

Lorcan and Pita are available for adoption Tuesday through Saturday at the special rate of $42.50. Pet of the week adoptions include rabies vaccination, spay or neuter and microchip. For more information, call 409-948-2485 or visit www.arcpets.org. These and other pets are available at the Galveston County Animal Resource Center, 3412 25th Ave. N., in Texas City.
