This week’s Galveston County Animal Resource Center pets of the week are Amaya and Laurel.

Amaya (A008346) is a medium hair bobtail with a bright torbie coat — tabby with tortie highlight. She is a little bit shy, a whole lot sweet and so cute with her big eyes, alert ears and short curled tail. Amaya is about 3 years old and combo-tested negative for FIV and FeLV.

Laurel (A010214) is a gorgeous female yellow lab mix that is hoping to find a family to love her. She is estimated at 10 months old. She is smart, happy and healthy. She will make someone a great companion. Laurel is a real catch!

Videos of the pets of the week can be viewed on www.facebook.com/garcpets and www.youtube.com.

Amaya and Laurel are available for adoption Tuesday through Saturday at the special rate of $42.50. Pet of the week adoptions include rabies vaccination, spay or neuter and microchip. For more information, call 409-948-2485 or visit www.arcpets.org. These and other pets are available at the Galveston County Animal Resource Center, 3412 25th Ave. N., in Texas City.
