This week’s Galveston County Animal Resource Center pets of the week are Lucy Blue and Duke.

Lucy Blue (A009815) is a domestic short hair beauty. Lucy’s coat is shimmery blue trimmed with a white chin, bib and back paws. Her wide copper eyes and impressive white whiskers complete the lovely picture. Lucy is sweet, friendly and welcomes attention — very photogenic when she isn’t rolling around to be pet. Vital statistics: 1.5 years old, spayed, vaccinated, negative FIV/Felv, and ready for her “fur-ever” home. Come meet Lucy Blue!

Duke (A010701) is a male, 10-month-old catahoula/hound mix currently looking for a forever home. He loves to cuddle and explore his surroundings.

Videos of the pets of the week can be viewed on www.facebook.com/garcpets and www.youtube.com.

Lucy Blue and Duke are available for adoption Tuesday through Saturday at the special rate of $42.50. Pet of the week adoptions include rabies vaccination, spay or neuter and microchip. For more information, call 409-948-2485 or visit www.arcpets.org. These and other pets are available at the Galveston County Animal Resource Center, 3412 25th Ave. N., in Texas City.
