The Galveston Island Humane Society pets of the week are Lacey and Butch.

Lacey is a 6-month-old boxer mix with a slick brown and brindle coat and huge ears. She loves squeaky toys, playing tug, fetch and just about any high-energy activity. She is a quick learner and eager to please, so a little training will go a long way. Lacey is in need of a loving family who is able to match her energy level and thirst for adventure.

Meet Butch. He is a 2-year-old tuxedo cat with big yellow eyes and a big sweet heart. He is an affectionate kind of guy who loves to be petted and hanging out with humans. He is full of personality and his favorite things to do are running, jumping, pouncing, snuggling and “making biscuits.” He is hoping to find his “furever” family soon so he can share all of his love.

Spring is almost here. Make sure your pets are microchipped, current on their vaccinations and registered with their 2018 city license.

All cat and dog adopters get a free tag with each adoption. Adoptions include the spay or neuter surgery, a microchip, current vaccinations and a month of pet insurance. These featured pets have an adoption sponsor allowing the adoption fee of $25 for this week only.
