Their toughness is astounding.

A couple years ago I removed -- or at least thought I had -- 2 beautiful bloomers because we wanted our garden to have a more compact, tropical look. Lo and behold, late last winter they resurfaced as sprigs from the long-forgotten root systems I thought I had destroyed.

Now they're two feet tall and blooming like madness. If I can keep them short and still keep them blooming, they're welcome to stay.

The Broadway plantings are wonderful. A most excellent choice!
