- In 1989, the skies above Silbernagel Elementary in Dickinson were filled with balloons released by its students to celebrate the 100th day of school. Tucked inside each balloon was the name of a student, his or her address, and a message explaining in the student’s own words what the 100th Day of School Celebration was all about.
