Reporter Christopher Smith Gonzalez has agreed to undergo a makeover for the Glamour for Grammar fashion show on Aug. 14, 2013. Rather than go it alone, he figured it would be a good idea to get some help from those who know a bit about fashion.

College of the Mainland cosmetology student Randy Simpson to shares some hair styling tips with The Daily News.

Blackout

One upcoming fall fashion trend is the “blackout” look, decking out in black from head to toe. Featuring abundant inky leather and lace, the trend is unisex.

The fearless look is displayed in men’s clothing by accessorizing black clothes with leather, hats and belts. A definitive look for this style is a black kilt worn with Hercules-style, strap-up sandals.

For women, tall boots with cut-out details, lace dresses, belts and other pieces in sable hues are popular. Our hometown girl Beyonce is the hottest celebrity rocking these trends.

Be bold, don black from hat to boots, and add eye-catching lace or leather details to sport this fall trend.
