KEMAH -- Police  are taking into custody a man connected to a possible bomb threat at the Wal-Mart at FM 518 and State Highway 146.

Kemah police were seen removing the man from a squad car and cutting off several layers of clothing as well as what appeared to be a diaper.

Police and fire units from several agencies have blocked all access to the parking lot of the store.

According to authorities on the scene, a man threatened a clerk at the Murphy USA gas station earlier this morning. After the man was arrested, police searched the Nissan Sentra the man was driving and found a suspicious package.

Texas City, Pasadena and La Porte police are assisting with the suspected bomb. A robotic bomb disposal unit is being used.

This is a breaking story. More information will be added as it becomes available.
