Who doesn’t love a good circus featuring lions, tigers, elephants, clowns and family fun?

Well, the Bayside Lions will present its annual circus this weekend — just in time for Spring Break — with a parade to kick things off at 6:30 p.m. today. The parade will begin at Clifton by the Sea and end at Sullivan Pharmacy.

The circus will be at 1:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Saturday; and 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Sunday at Bayshore Park, 5437 FM 646, in San Leon.

Advance tickets are $12 per adult (get one free child’s ticket per adult), additional children tickets are $6 each in advance (today only). Tickets are $16 per adult and $10 per child the day of the circus. Tickets can be bought at locations in Bacliff, which include Sullivan Pharmacy, Amegy Bank, Bacliff MUD, Todd & Associates, San Leon Liquor and Ziegler’s in Dickinson.

Outdoors events on deck

For those of you looking for something to do outdoors this weekend, here are a few events to check out:

The Friends of League City Seniors Foundation will have its 10th annual citywide wellness walk at 7 a.m. Saturday at Walter Hall Park, 807 state Highway 3 N., in League City. Awards will be given. And for those of you wanting to spruce up the garden, the Galveston County Master Gardeners will offer its “Bonsai” class from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Galveston County AgriLife Extension Building at Carbide Park, 4102-B Main St., in La Marque. Spring break at Moody Gardens

Make sure you take the kiddos and family out during spring break to Moody Gardens as they will be offering new attractions, experiences and discounts on a variety of events/attractions at the popular venue at 1 Hope Blvd. in Galveston.

Art in the Depot

The Dickinson Historical Society will sponsor its Art in the Depot painting exhibit and sale by local artists from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Dickinson Historical Railroad Center, 218 FM 517 W., in Dickinson. Shrimp boil fundraiser

Quartet set to perform

The OSMOSIS String Quartet, all the way from Leipzig, Germany, will make its island debut at 7 p.m. Thursday at First Lutheran Church, 25th and Winnie streets, in Galveston.

The free concert will feature the quartet playing movements such as Haydn’s String Quartet in C Major, Opus 76, Number 3: Shoastakovich’s String Quartet Number 7 in F-sharp Minor, and Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat Major; Opus 14.
