A team of ice sculptors from Harbin, China, has been busy transforming an enormous tent at Moody Gardens into an icy jungle while creating Ice Land: Ice Sculptures Rainforest Holiday.
Two million pounds of ice were brought in for the attraction, now in its fourth year. It will take the world renowned team of 25 carvers almost 1,080 hours or 45 days to create the jungle-themed sculptures, some of which tower over 35 feet tall.
The tent in which the sculptors work will be kept at a frigid 9 degrees throughout the holiday season to keep their work intact.
The Moody Gardens Ice Land: Ice Sculptures Rainforest Holiday opens to the public Nov. 11.
