If you like musicals, then make sure you check out the laugh-out-loud musical “The Great American Trailer Park” at 8 p.m. today at Island East-End Theatre Company, 2317 Mechanic St., in Galveston.

The play is set in Starke, Fla., at the Armadillo Acres Trailer Park. It tells the story of high school sweethearts Norbert, played by Brandon del Castillo, and Jeannie, played by Robin Lusby Schaefer. Their nearly 20-year marriage is jeopardized when newcomer Pippi (Katie Harrison) comes to town, along with her jealous ex-boyfriend Duke (Luther Chakurian), who travels from Oklahoma City to find her. So, who knows what kind of shenanigans are going to be revealed? I guess you’re going to have to go to see what happens.

Rounding out the cast are Sandi Morgan, Penny Rieger and Hanna Harper.

Tickets are $27 for adults and $22 for seniors and students.
