With Christmas coming in a few days, there are still a few holiday events to keep you and your family in a festive mood.

Here are a few items you can choose from this weekend and beyond:

The Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier is inviting families to come and watch holiday movies, children’s activities and rides Saturday at 2501 Seawall Blvd. in Galveston.

A Santa’s workshop will be available from noon to 4 p.m., which will include photos with Santa Claus, letters to Santa and cookie decorating. And a holiday movie will be shown from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

And if you’re on the mainland make sure you and the family attend Jingle on the Boardwalk, which will include a plethora of events for the entire family to enjoy on the Kemah Boardwalk at 215 Kipp Ave. in Kemah.

Holiday dance performances will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Santa’s Workshop, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., a snow patch, holiday guitarist and holiday stiltwalker will be available from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” will be shown at 7 p.m.

Also on Saturday, the public is invited to the Community Grinchmas Party, sponsored by DGA Decorations and the Iron Man Club from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at 3916 Winnie St. in Galveston. Don’t forget about the Carols & Cocoa Cruise Aboard the M/V BaySmart Express, which will be available through Saturday at Sea Star Base Galveston, Pier F, 7509 Broadway, in Galveston. Boarding begins at 5:30 p.m. and the cruise will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 for adults, $25 for members, $15 for ages 4-12, and free for ages 3 and younger. And last but not least, if you’re wanting to spend the holiday weekend in a religious setting, here are a few Christmas Eve and Christmas Day events, which are available at the following churches in Galveston County:
