Farmers market offers fruits, vegetables, more

Don’t miss the last chance this semester to enjoy the fruits, vegetables and vendor products at the farmers market from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday in the UH-Clear Lake’s Bayou Building, Atrium 1.

Shopping local farmer’s markets not only supports farmers and small businesses, but encourages cultural exploration on campus.

Sponsored by the University of Houston-Clear Lake’s Office of Intercultural Student Services, the farmer’s market brings together the student population at UHCL and the health benefits of eating locally grown, fresh foods.

For information on the farmer’s market, contact Imelda Estrada-Wicks, Estrada@uhcl.edu or 281-283-3373.
