The associate of applied science degree in nursing is a 72-credit-hour curriculum designed to prepare a student to become a registered nurse in the state of Texas. Upon completion of the two year program, the graduate is eligible to take the NLCEX-RN licensure examination.

Prospective students must meet specific admission requirements for admittance to the ADN program. In addition to meeting prerequisites, students must pass the nurse entrance test, obtain a clear background check or approved Declaratory Order from the Texas Board of Nursing, and provide evidence of first hepatitis B vaccination. The program will be accepting applications from Sept. 15 through Jan. 15, 2014 for classes starting Aug. 2014. Contact the Nursing Department, 409-944-1396.
