• A photo cutline on Page 1A of Wednesday’s paper incorrectly reported that Galveston County’s Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program is located in the Mainland Children’s Partnership family center in Texas City. The program moved to the mid-county annex in West Texas City 9850-B Emmett F. Lowry Express Suite B101.

• Based on information from League City officials a story in Tuesday’s edition of The Daily News incorrectly reported that Star Toyota faces fines for cutting down a set of oak trees near Interstate 45 and state Highway 96. City officials clarified on Wednesday the general contractor working on the car dealership’s expansion faces the fines not the dealership.
