LEAGUE CITY — A fire at a building in League City forced several businesses to close Tuesday, fire officials said.

A delivery truck accidentally hit a transformer on the side of the building at 1600 West League City Parkway early Tuesday afternoon starting an electrical fire,  Chief Brad Goudie said.

Several businesses housed in the building were forced to shut down operations because of electrical damage, Goudie said.

It was unclear Tuesday evening how long the businesses would be forced to close.

There were no injuries caused by the fire, Goudie said.
