Jan. 17 marked the installation luncheon at the Lakewood Yacht Club in Seabrook. The Ladies Association welcomed its new 2014 officers: Roz Clayton, president; Evey Leavens, vice president; Barbara Gessner, secretary; Marilyn Mitchell, treasurer; Ann Dumphey, fleet captain; and Rosemary Bettis, immediate past president. The ladies association works to enhance the social and recreational needs of the community through organizing special events and partnerships with local businesses throughout the area. The club is quickly approaching its 60th birthday with a tradition of serving the social needs of boating enthusiasts in the Clear Lake Area and throughout the Gulf Coast region.
