BP is among the world leaders in the production of
oil, gas, refined, petrochemical and alternative energy
products. At TCC we employ around 210 people
manufacturing a variety of these key chemicals used
by other BP sites. BP Texas City Chemicals is currently
seeking an Analyzer Technician.

Analyzer Technician
Minimum requirements:
• 2 + years’ analyzer experience in a plant/
manufacturing environment - required.
AND – one of the following attributes:
• Journeyman Electrician or higher
• 4 year Electrical Apprentice Program
Completion Certificate
• 2 years Military training in a related I & E field
• Associates Degree in Analyzer or Instrument
Technology or related field
• 5 Years’ Experience as an I/E Technician in a
plant/manufacturing environment.
Additional preferred attributes:
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair and perform
preventative maintenance on the following
types of analyzers: gas chromatograph
(Maxum & Advanced Optichrom preferred), pH,
conductivity, O2/CO2,CEMS, HRVOC Cooling
Tower & Flare, O2, NIR, and safety systems.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
If selected for hire, employment will be contingent upon
submission to and successful completion of a post-offer/
pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, including a hair
test for which BP must be able to obtain a sufficient hair
sample for analysis (~4 cm/1 ½” scalp, > 2 cm/¾“body
– arms & armpits/legs/chest) & background check. BP
