DICKINSON — The Pilot Club of Dickinson will have its annual Fourth of July Children’s Parade beginning with registration at 8:15 a.m. and then the parade at 9 a.m. July 4.

The parade and registration will start at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 4613 state Highway 3, and end at the Veterans of Foreign Wars on state Highway 3.

Trophies will be awarded to costume winners ages 0-12.

KEMAH — The city of Kemah will have its Fourth of July Children’s Decorated Bicycle Parade at 9 a.m., its Fourth of July Parade at 9:30 a.m., and its Fourth of July celebration at 9:30 p.m. July 4 on the Kemah Boardwalk, Kipp Avenue.

The event will feature live music and a patriotic fireworks show over Galveston Bay.

Children of all ages are invited to join the parade with decorated bikes, wagons and strollers. The main parade with classic cars, fire engines and floats will start at the city parking lot on Sixth and Bradford streets and continue to Fourth Street, down Kipp to Ninth Street, turn right to Harris Street, and end at the Jimmie T. Walker Community Center.

DICKINSON — The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6378, its Ladies Auxiliary, and the city of Dickinson will have its 12th annual Fourth of July Communitywide Picnic at 10 a.m. July 4 at 5204 state Highway 3.

There will be live music and entertainment, food, drinks, vendors, water games (take a swimsuit), children’s games and activities and more.

KEMAH — Boardwalk Fantasea will offer its Fourth of July Cruise on July 4 onboard its yacht, No. 8 Kemah Boardwalk, Suite G.

SEABROOK — The Bay Area Houston Ballet and Theatre will have its annual IndepenDANCE Day Celebration from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 4 at 2414 Todville Road.

Tickets are $30 per person, or a family four-pack is $100. Ages 3 and younger are admitted free.

Attendees must RSVP by June 28.

A limited number of tickets will be available at the door for $35 per person.

NASSAU BAY — The city of Nassau Bay will have its Fourth of July Parade at 6:30 p.m. July 4 beginning at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Road, and will end at Lake Nassau Park.

Registration will begin at 6 p.m.

After the parade, there will be food vendors, children activities, and live music. There also will be a fireworks display at 9 p.m.

GALVESTON — The city of Galveston will have its Independence Day Parade at 7:45 p.m. July 4 beginning at the intersection of 59th Street and Seawall Boulevard and continuing down the seawall to 28th Street.

There will be a fireworks display afterward at 9:15 p.m. over the Gulf of Mexico near 37th Street and Seawall Boulevard.

FRIENDSWOOD — The Friendswood Chamber of Commerce is selling tickets for its 21st annual “Win A Truck” fundraiser at 1100A S. Friendswood Drive.

“Red, White and Blue,” is the theme.

Tickets are $10 each.

The drawing will take place at 9 p.m. July 4 at Centennial Park before the fireworks display.
