City grants burn permit for Painted Meadows

LA MARQUE — The fire department has granted the Painted Meadows Subdivision a burn permit for property along Shoshone Ridge Drive.

The city is under a burn ban, but the department extended a “special dispensation” so the subdivision could clear debris from recent land clearing, the city said in a news release.

The burn permit was issued from Dec. 20 to Jan. 20, and burning of debris, including trees, will be allowed from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
