TEXAS CITY — The Galveston County Veterinary Medical Association, Galveston County Health District, and the Texas Animal Health Commission will host a free emergency management workshop for veterinary professionals, animal control officers and first responders from 12:45 p.m. to 5 p.m. May 31 at the Galveston County Mid-County Annex, 9850 Emmett F. Lowry.
Topics include an introduction to local emergency management, local animal issues when planning for disasters, local planning and response efforts and how you can get involved.
The conference is approved for four hours of continuing education hours for veterinarians and Animal Control Officers.
Seating is limited. Lunch also will be provided.
