The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 880 is seeking volunteers to help place U.S. Flags on cemetery grave markers at three island cemeteries.

Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. May 24 at the post’s home, 1014 24th St. and Ave. K.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 880 will place memorial wreathes on May 25 at the following sites:

• 10 a.m. at the World War II and Korean War Memorial, 23rd Street and Broadway;

• 10:30 a.m. at the World War I Memorial, 27th Street and Seawall Boulevard; and

• 11 a.m. at the Vietnam Memorial, at Moody Gardens, 1 Hope Blvd.

Eddie Janek, a Post No. 880 Life Member, World War II and Korean War veteran, U.S. Navy, retired, will be the guest speaker.
